zaambiid!ayke menpeornetu	There was no Sun in the beginning of times,
tuomdaahe !aen!aan!a!e menporbegu	and the Deer in the sky ran in darkness.

!aentaakdaankiislaarrode men!onhuufbitu	His hooves kicked sparks out of stones of the Sky,
mae!hone menkiislaarpadu	these sparks fell to Earth
gemsaarkisu	and became gemstones.

!onjolhone menkiisnuore fainu	Only light of those sparks shone in his way.

mae!tae!hone daas!aykporgitu	Then Deer went under the Earth
roglaar!aanhone mennaarkuoktaak!ale poru	and put a red hot round stone on his antlers,
mennaarkuo!muunsuuttaku	an egg of Fire-Serpent.

faahsuute menpeortaakruodnuuru	The red light of the Sun-stone was weak,
menkaod!aardyrnuurlaku	but Eagle awoke at this light,
peortaakbiit!aru	and hit the Stone,
laagpaale kuufnuor!a!e kuulmae!a!aenhonnuor!a!e menpeortaku	and the Stone ignited and shone bright, and lit all the Earth and Sky.

menkaode tae!mae!kaapluumnaek!a!e tiiku	Tiger awoke and saw the Earth below, covered with snow
mentae!hongiite jei!suul!a!e tiiku	and he went down and melted the ice
menluosrodu	and so the water was born.

menjei!berkamu	White-Bear came,
kuokaruodtaak!aalberu	and grabbed a red round stone,
menbaydsaartaakdyrreifu	and this stone turned white with rime.
menporhone taaktose jei!beru	And Whitebear tossed the stone at Deer,
menluumlaarsuulpordyru	because Deer drove out the snow from the Earth.

menporgiitlaku	But Deer ran away,
!ouhetaakletu	and the Stone flew by.

pohloo!emae!daaheluosjaamu	In the north of Earth there is a hole filled with water.
haenjee!dyredasloo!ehoerporsutu	Deer comes here rarely, and it is frozen to ice.
jee!loo!ejee!berhaju	Here lives Icebear,
dasloo!e!onkoitsutu	here is his abode.
suydloo!emae!daahejaamu	In the South of Earth there is also a hole.
